Alpha 1/7 V.N. Stories and life experience since:

Joined Alpha/1/7 in Sept. 65 as a member of the Arty FO Team. Volunteered for patrol Oct. as ammo humper for machineguns. Patrol got ambushed (shot at). Grunts came by every day for a spell wanting me to go with them again as good luck charm (they wanted more action).
June, 66 was transferred to C/1/7 after they came back and re-earned the titile: Suicide Charley.
Pulled back to Gulf Btry, 3/11 in late 66 as Comm Chief.
Rotated back to conus in Apr. 67, after 19 month tour.
Retired from Marines Corps 1980.
Went to Weatherford Jr College, Tx, 80-83.
Graduated from Tarleton State College, Stephenville, Tx, 83-85.
Taught High School Science (Physical Science, Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, & Aviation Science) from 85-04.
Spent 9 out of 10 summers at Texas A&M obtaining 16 hours in Post Grad Physics.
Retired in 2004.
Taught Life Skills Course at Mineral Wells, Tx, Correctional Facilities, 2005-2007.
Just work with Young Marines now! 2001-till?
YM Unit Commander, Parker County Young Marines.
YM Bn Commander, 2nd Texas YM Bn. 2003 to 2012.
